You may click the link to switch the active language.<\/p><p>The standard employee contribution rate for most members is<\/p>\n<p><strong>[3% of gross pensionable remuneration PLUS 3.5% of net pensionable remuneration]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>reduced pro rata to the work pattern where the member works on a non-full-time basis(part-time, work-sharing), with definitions as following applying:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Gross pensionable remuneration<\/strong> is pensionable pay plus any approved pensionable allowances, expressed on a full-time basis.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Net pensionable remuneration<\/strong> is gross pensionable remuneration less twice the value of the State Pension (Contributory).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following Single Scheme member groups have different contribution rates (set out in Appendix A): Garda\u00ed, Permanent Defence Force personnel, prison officers, full-time firefighters, the President, TDs, Senators, ministers, judges, the Comptroller &amp; Auditor General, other qualifying office holders and designated office holders.<\/p>","protected":false},"author":16,"template":"","faq_groups":[28],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/singlepensionscheme.gov.ie\/ga\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/faqs\/5711"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/singlepensionscheme.gov.ie\/ga\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/faqs"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/singlepensionscheme.gov.ie\/ga\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/faq"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/singlepensionscheme.gov.ie\/ga\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/16"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/singlepensionscheme.gov.ie\/ga\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=5711"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"faq-group","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/singlepensionscheme.gov.ie\/ga\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/faq_groups?post=5711"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
