Normal Retirement
Context: In advance of retirement, a member must be issued with formal documents confirming their entitlements under the Single Pension Scheme.
Resource Toolkit: The resources provided in the table below may be used when a Scheme member retires at Normal Retirement Age. Please note that the Process Map should be read with the Process Guidelines.

If your organisation is partnered with a Shared Services Centre for HR, Pensions or Payroll purposes, you may need to clarify with them what elements of work, (if any), that they have been resourced to undertake on your behalf.
Downloading Files:
Where issues arise when downloading certain documents from our website when using the Google Chrome / Internet Explorer browser, we suggest to users to try opening the documents in a different browser and / or try opening the documents in a new tab or window (you may also need to hit refresh and download after opening a new window).
The Google Chrome issue may be resolved by taking the following steps:
- Type – chrome://settings/content/insecureContent?search=secu – into the url panel in chrome and,
- Add https://singlepensionscheme.gov.ie/to “Allow” section.
If the issue persists please try contacting your IT unit for assistance.
Cost Neutral Early Retirement
